Custom Embroidery on One of the Coolest Utility Suits
I thought we’d already talked about the Noble Utility Suit here, but seems I talk about it so much, I just assumed incorrectly. When I first saw this piece last year, my son wasn’t even a year old and I already knew I wanted it. It sold out before I could get the color I wanted, so I patiently joined the wait list and waited, and waited. I scooped one up when they restocked back in November and it more than met my expectations.
The utility suit is made from 100% GOTS certified organic pima cotton canvas. That’s a mouthful. The results are this super soft cotton that is also nice and thick and durable. It’s already pre-washed and pre-shrunk and runs true to size. We got a 2T for my 22 month old and it fit him great with a roll of the pant, it’s roomy on him with plenty of room to grow into and wear for ages. On cooler days we throw a long sleeve layer under or just a cardigan.
The Noble brand is made in Peru and Noble Carriage owner, Jen Hartford, personally goes to Peru to oversee production. She shared some great videos of the process. The colors are all incredibly gorgeous and are naturally plant dyed with henna, indigo and sandalwood. The utility suit is currently available in 4 colors, Oat Milk, Clay, Forest Green and Indigo, 18m - 6y, for $89.
For a special Valentines Day treat, Noble partnered with embroidery artist Merrill Melideo (@merzydotes), to offer custom hand embroidery for an extra $30 - $75. While we love the idea of a cute name on the back, we also love their suggestions for a fun saying, like ‘dreamer’ or ‘free spirit’. If you do go with a name, we like that it’s a light embroidery, so when you pass it on, you can gently remove the embroidery for the next kid who wears it. noblecarriage.com,
