Little Noggi x Bookhou Issues Limited Edition of Artisan Hats

Five years in the making, MEETS by Little Noggi’s latest project is with textile house Bookhou from Toronto. Little Noggi is known for their small batch heirloom quality hats, released once a month in limited quantities. For MEETS, Little Noggi’s founder, Sheree Steele, hand selects an artist to collaborate with, combining the talents and aesthetic of both.

Bookhou is a slow multidisciplinary studio that makes incredible textiles. They focus on quality natural materials and make everything by hand in small production. A long time admirer of their work, Sheree contacted Bookhou’s Arounna Khounnoraj in 2015 about working together. Their efforts have finally come to fruition with Little Noggi MEETS Bookhou.

The end result is a playful edition of only 100 hats, in 2 popular designs. There will be 50 Mosey and 50 Potter hats, available starting in sizes 3 months up to adult.

As always, this edition is slowly and thoughtfully handmade to order by Sheree in her studio in Australia. She shared the following with Meer Guide about this edition, “To be mindful of our global carbon footprint, the fabric was handprinted here in Melbourne, local to the Little Noggi studio. We selected a beautiful bold Bookhou pattern and immediately ordered the hand printing screen. An exquisite hemp denim was then sourced, along with a few other signature recycled hemp and organic cotton blends Little Noggi loves to use. There are a few deliberate stitching quirks to honour Arounna’s ever evolving textile craft, including thick top stitching, hand embroidered details and a wool fibre pom pom.”

You’ll be able to get your hands on one of these gorgeous creations on Sunday, April 26, starting at 6am EST (8pm AEST). They’ll offer a set number now and again in May and June, until their total of 100 are sold out. www.littlenoggi.com
