Rylee & Cru Enter the Organic Market with Capsule Collection of Pajamas
Rylee & Cru are known for their California boho vibe and custom hand drawn prints in everything from dresses, jogger sets and tees in mostly 100% cotton and cotton blends. What they haven’t done until now is organic cotton in their collections. In 2019 they introduced Quincy Mae, an organic baby brand (newborn until size 2/3) that has been hugely successful for parents that love the vibe of Rylee & Cru but want to dress their babies in organic cotton. The buttery soft separates and rompers have been especially popular due to their soft color palette and wallet friendly prices.
This month Rylee & Cru introduced their own line of organic pajamas, as a 3 style holiday capsule. The collection has two styles in a soft brushed jersey in 100% organic cotton, $48 - $52. The one piece long john has snaps up the entire front for easy diaper changes and full length sleeves with a banded cuff. The two piece has a snug long sleeve top with banded cuffs and a legging pant with a slight drop crotch. There’s also a super cute style for girls with a button up short sleeve top and relaxed leg with elastic waist, $66.
The prints are hand drawn by the founder of Rylee & Cru, Kelli Murray. She was an illustrator before starting the company and draws all the prints herself. There’s a narrow stripe offered in both cinnamon/taupe and forest/grey on both jersey sets. There’s ‘Woods’, a tone-on-tone forest green featuring sweet little foxes frolicking in the trees. There’s ‘Moons’, a scattering of charcoal half moons on a very pale beige grey and ‘Stardust’, a rendering of the galaxy in the same charcoal on beige.
The girls short sleeve pajama sets come in Stardust and two more sophisticated all over prints. ‘Enchanted Garden’ is a slightly abstract floral in goldenrod on natural and ‘Light Floral’ is a more traditional neutral flower print on natural. This set is really suitable to also be worn as separates.
