Sustainably produced with love and care for the product and planet, they focus on unisex everyday styles at an affordable price point and reducing textile waste. They use all eco-friendly materials, including organic cotton and linen. Their collections are produced in Los Angeles, where materials are also sourced locally. Most of their fabrics are milled within the US and garment dyed. Their factories use low impact dyes in a closed-loop system that’s able to recycle the water used in processing. They visit their factories regularly.
Since styles and colors are repeated year-round and produced in small-batch, they are able to keep overstock at a minimum (regularly selling out). Leftover fabrics are used for sampling and fabric scraps are recycled. They also have a Wear Share Recycle program that encourages worn clothing to be donated to charity or recycled, and offers a discount with proof of donation. For shipping materials they use recycled paper wrapping and recycled Kraft paper mailers. All of their hang tags and promotional materials are made with recycled paper and hang tags are only provided on request. Les Gamins answered all our questions about company practices and were easy to reach for follow up.
