SEASONLESS PRODUCTION
The vintage inspired styles are all very wearable, relaxed and made with an ecological ethos. They’ve grown to include a women’s and home collection and offer a permanent collection, without following a seasonal calendar. They use all natural materials, including 100% organic cotton, linen and flax. Their organic cotton is GOTS certified and all materials are Oeko-Tex certified. They use non-toxic dye that is also GOTS certified. All materials are sourced responsibly from Turkey and production is done locally in Portugal. Factories are visited often to ensure proper oversight and has to comply with EU standards..
Fabric scraps are upcycled into small accessories and as doll clothes in collaborations with toy companies and used to make traditional Portuguese rugs. They do use individual polybags for shipments but they are made with 100% compostable potato starch. They use recyled paper for their marketing materials and have a recycling system in place for daily waste recovery. Poudre Organic answered all our questions about company practices and were easy to reach for follow up.
