Made from all recycled materials, Fairechild operates transparently on a closed-loop model, offering a buy back program with retailer Mini-Cycle. They work with Sympatex, a German company to create a 100% waterproof fabric made solely from recycled PET water bottles. The fabric doesn’t need a toxic coating to keep it waterproof. They are Bluesign certified, Oeko-Tex certified and GRS certified, establishing responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production. Each garment is made in Canada (where the company is also based) and made to fit for up to 3 years, with adjustable bits in both pants and coats. When the garments have reached the end of their lifecycle, they can be sent back to Fairechild for recycling. They separate out the snaps for brass recycling and the fabric enters a PET recycling process.
